You are the owner of an NBA franchise...?

They style of play I would prefer would be largely dependent on my personnel. I would model my franchise after the Detroit Pistons, which has a track record of signing players to reasonable contracts, and has had success without paying the luxury tax.

My 1st round pick would be Greg Oden. He is talented, gigantic, and plays ceter, which is the most expensive position to fill.

If I were to model a team it would be the San Antonio Spurs. They play GREAT team defense (1st in Points Allowed), not to mention they like to get out and run the break alot, but they are also a top 5 team when it comes to the half-court offense. I personally like the break more and I feel like I should say the Suns but a team MUST be able to run an offense in the half-court. As for a draft pick.... I would want Oden but he will not slip to San Antonio. We once saw the Spurs with two 7 footers with a veteran and a player fresh out of college and we saw how that worked out. Can you say championship???

The Phoenix Suns are the most exciting and talented team to watch. They run every play and aim to shoot under 7 seconds. They also attempt more three point shooting than any other team in the NBA, plus they have a two time (looking to go amongst the three timers with all time greats, Oscat Robertson, Wilt Chamberlain, and Larry Bird). I prefer the uptempo, fast break style of play. I would model my franchise after the Phoenix Suns, an amazing point guard, and solid rebounding and outside shooting. My first round pick would be Kevin Durant.

I like how Pat Riley structures his teams: start with a good center then build around him. Preferably with a star guard. He didn't have the star guard with the Knicks but otherwise he's won at LA and Miami...

Pheonix Suns style offense. It attracts fans to the stadium and on TV. Even people who don't like the Suns know that they love to watch the fast paced, un-heard of pure offensive explosion which the Suns create every game.

Basically, bring a unique and new element into the game, and you will be an interesting-to-watch, fun type of team.
