Why do suicide questions get removed?

I just asked something about it, and some FINK reported me and had it removed. Do they really think that censorship will deter that sort of behavior from me. Just makes it a little more difficult to find the answers I need. Yahoo answers indeed. Whoever reported me, I hope they enjoy being irritating.

Update:

Also, there is plenty of really rude and bad stuff that people post on here that does NOT get removed, like perverted stuff.

Update 2:

Hi Hamish,

I haven't done it yet. I really don't know what else to do. I still have to sell what few things I own and clean up and get rid of my belongings so no one has to do that after I'm gone.

Update 3:

Hi Tim2,

thanks, you are sweet. Deciding to end it all isn't an easy decision. I've been struggling with it for a long time. I can't burden people by getting help. I don't have $$ for counseling. No $ for anything at the moment. I hate to do it to my family and dh. I don't want to be selfish but I see no other way. And, ha ha, I have a degree in Psych too.

Yahoo has some liability to what is said here. If someone kills themself because of an obvious suggestion on thier site they could be sewed.

I'm sure they would like you to find the answers, but they can't even suggest where to get them since anything they do is liable.

If you really are suicidal, please seek help. Life really is worth the journey. It's not always fun, but something you do or say in this world could change it and make it better.

    Please stay!

i replaced into gonna say it really is because it probably violates or is going adversarial to the YA! guidelines for answering or asking questions. I imagine it in basic terms were given bumped off because the guy is in all likelihood mentally risky and YA! is frightened of human beings answering to the guy rudely or being mean, i do not understand it really is in basic terms my guess.

If they didn`t remove it it would seem as if they were condoning it. Perhaps in the time it takes to find other answers you will rethink this decision. Please don`t do it. Think of your family and what it would do to them. I`m 60 yrs old and if one of my family chose to do that I would want to join them.

If you think that's bad, try suggesting suicide to someone. Gets you busted bigtime.

they probably think that if you ask something about suicide then you might be thinking about doing it and they might consider that dangerous.

imagine if someones kid comes on here and reads it and is haveing problems of there own, i would think that they would think it was okay to do such a thing
