    k^2 -k-6=(k-3)(k+2)

    real roots ==> general solution Aexp(3t)+Bexp(-2t)

    for specific solution Cexp(4t) require

    16C-4C-6C = 4 so C = 4/6

    So solution is

    Aexp(3t) + Bexp(-2t) +2/3 exp(4t)

    (determine A and B from boundary conditions)
