Are there any religions that don't require that you attend a church service?

When a person trusts Jesus Christ for salvation, he or she is made a member of the Body of Christ (1 Corinthians 12:27). For a church body to function properly, all of its "body parts" need to be present (1 Corinthians 12:14-20). Likewise, a believer will never reach full spiritual maturity without the assistance and encouragement of other believers (1 Corinthians 12:21-26). For these reasons, church attendance, participation, and fellowship should be regular aspects of a believer's life. Weekly church attendance is not required for believers, but someone who has trusted Christ should have a desire to worship God, be taught His Word, and fellowship with other believers.

You question amused me....I saw myself a few years ago.

There are really NO religions that REQUIRE a member to attend church services. It is always an option although many do attend most every week.

Keep in mind that the important part of faith is the one on one relationship that you have with God and Jesus...not the church service. THAT RELATIONSHIP can NOT be PART TIME. You are either living with God/Jesus all the time, or you are not living with them at all. God will not take second place in your life. He has to be the one that is your guide for everything you do...from who you date, what activities you participate in...where you spend your leisure time...how you do your job...how you treat people....how much respect you have for yourself...etc. I am not talking about the "follow the ten commandments" thing. I am talking about a mind set that a true Christian has to follow the teachings and lifestyle of Jesus Christ and to trust in Him for all things. When you have a problem...you go to God/Jesus. When you have a difficult decision to make...you go to God/Jesus. That is what faith is all about.

God/Jesus did not do things half way for you. They gave their all out of love for you. Don't you think they deserve the same?

Quite honestly, I can worship God, when I am on a long run outside enjoying the beauty of nature...I feel very close to God...maybe it's the endorphines...

I think church is a good place to go, if nothing else to make us slow down our life and meditate... but, God can be found in other places as well

Well I belong to a church but we study via internet. We all get together and study from a pastor who has studied the bible from it's original language, so it's a whole lot easier to understand because he shows us what certain words meant back in the dispensation it was written. I think it makes perfect sense and it's all straight out of the bible.

You can study him too and see if you like it for yourself.

Everyone has a right pastor, you just keep praying to find it and God will bring him to you.

There are many Easter and Christmas Christians out there. They only show up at church twice a year. As far as I know, there are no churches that "require" your attendance. But one thing I would like to point out is that God said in the Bible, "Do not forsake the assembling of yourselves together". In other words, GO TO CHURCH. He also made some comments about luke warm Christians. He said that He finds them distasteful. In short, you can be as involved or as uninvolved in church as you wish to be, but God can also be as involved or as uninvolved in your life as your wishes cause Him to be.

Chirstianity is the only good one.If you dont like going to church, go "cold turkey" with it, after a few services you l grow to like it.Besides if you arn't willing to sit and listen for 2 hours a WEEK then I would say your dont care about your soul enough to try and save it. sory that sounds kinda mean but just think of your priorities then give it a try.

Yes. Wicca doesn't even have churches. We create our sacred space wherever we want it at the time. Then again, we also don't have preachers, sermons, or any of the other annoying Christian stuff either.

A church is just a building.
