I have heard that women of color goes as long as 6 weeks!?!? that seems a little gross to me but the hair texture is completely different to that of caucasions. I think every 3 to 7 days is just fine as long as you use a really good conditioner since ethnic hair tends to be very dry. It is all up to you.

I'm assuming that as a woman of color, your hair is very dry (like mine is). I'm also assuming you're keeping your hair natural (i.e. no relaxers). Washing once a week is fine. If your hair is short (up to 2 inches in length) you can wash it every other day. It's good to water rinse your hair first: rinse the hair in tepid water for a couple of minutes before adding shampoo to loosen the gels and products that build up in hair.

Be sure to use the best type of shampoo and conditioner for your hair type (Pantene, for instance, has a line of hair products for women of color). Also, stay away from products whose ingredients include petrolatum and mineral oil - those clog up pores and are actually really bad for your scalp (unfortunately, many many hair products have petrolatum and mineral oil, so you're going to have to spend awhile reading labels before buying anything).

it relies upon on what type of hair you've and what type of climate your hair is frequently subjected to. in tropical climates, human beings can wash their hair ordinary or another day because the ambience keeps the moisture in the hair. yet in case you stay in a dry us of a or a us of a with rather harsh climate (too chilly, too warm, etc) then wash it at the same time as it starts off getting rather oily, flat and not so incredible smelling anymore. in case you've a tendency to bathe your hair frequently you may want to situation it frequently as well. I actually have black, wavy hair and that i hit upon myself washing it another day or each and every 2 days. by using that factor, my scalp's itching to get washed already.

Doesn't matter what color anything is, you should wash your hair every day if you can, or every other day.

once every 2 days so your hair doesn't get greasy and oily. just buy shampoo that says it's okay for dyed hair.
