open your internet explorer
click on Help (upper left corner - next to Tools)
click About Internet Explorer
a small window will pop up - in there you will see which version you have
click OK to close that window

open internet explorer then click help, then click about internet explorer. the first line under the logo tells you which version you have.
this is true with ALMOST all software. just click on help and go to about to determine which version you have installed. =)
