Are people realy born gay?
I hear that people are born gay/lez/trans/bi. It doesn't make sence to me. Wouldn't this be a life decision?
Note: I do not have a problem with anyone who is gay.

Even the ultra conservative president of the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary has said that scientific research "points to some level of biological causation" for homosexuality & "I am absolutely confident that a large number of homosexuals are telling the truth when they say they did not choose that orientation."
An October 2004 scientific research publication stated that scientists at the University of Padua have found that women tend to have more children when they inherit the same genetic factors linked to homosexuality in men. This fertility boost more than compensates for the lack of offspring fathered by gay men, and keeps the “gay” genetic factors in circulation.
Another study published in Human Genetics in February 2006 examined X chromosome inactivation in mothers of gay sons and mothers whose sons were not gay. Researchers found extreme differences between women who had gay sons and women who did not.
A Canadian university study published in June of 2006 stated that, although researchers have known for years that a man's likelihood of being gay rises with the number of older biological brothers, that the new study found that the so-called "fraternal birth order effect" persists even if gay men were raised away from their biological families.
A January 2007 report suggested to be gay you need to receive one gay gene from both parents, and that those with only one gay gene have a selective advantage because they are heterosexual but have increased style, male sex drive, charm and seductiveness towards women.

Scientists already have several very detailed, realistic theories to explain how gays, lesbians, and transgenders are born. The medical community will someday soon find the definitive cause. The current most-likely-to-be-true preposition for what "causes queerness" goes like this: All fetuses begin as female in the womb, and are masculinized or not during development if a certain flag is encountered. However, it is not a one-time check, rather the brain and the body of the baby are each developed in stages, the brain in particular is developed in many different parts. For each part of the process, the developing fetus searches for that flag to signal whether that part should be masculinized or not. For most people the process is uniform, however for some you get discongruent results: this is how you end up with, in a mild case, tomboyish straight girls, in a moderate case, masculine gay men who act like men but are attracted to and wish to be mounted by other men, and in the most discordant cases, women or men who feel completely "born into the body of the wrong gender".

When I was a kid, my neighbor came home crying. He had just came home from the doctor, and he said that the doctor told his mom that he would probably be gay. We were only like 5th graders maybe 4th grade. We didn't totally understand sex and all hose things. But even at that age, everyone I knew thought he was gay. The best we understood the concept anyway. He was just different acting. I wanted to go outside and play. He said, "no, inside's fun. We can watch soap operas." I'm serious. And his idol was Peggy Bundy. He moved away and I didn't see him for a long time.
After we were grown up I saw him at a store, And guess what he said. " When we were kids I used to have the biggest crush on you. But don't worry. I'm gay. "
My answer is yes I think that people are born gay for the most part any ways. But I am sick to death of all these teenage girls who do lesbian stuff just cause they want the boys to think they're hot.

It is really hard to say. In my opinion, I think they are born that way. I don't think that anyone would purposely subject their selves to discrimination and other obstacles they may have to face for no reason. I have seen little kids develop certain characteristics that would be considered homosexual behavior (for lack of a better term). If someones theory is "they choose to be that way", I would disagree. A child does not choose to be gay.
I think the life decision is finally coming out and accepting the fact that you are the way you are and presenting yourself to society despite what reaction you get back. That takes allot of courage.

I do believe that people are born gay. It's not a proven fact or anything but just think about it it's your hormones you can't control them, certain people are born with the hormone that attracts you to girls and the other to boys and some people have both! Another good example is people who grew up in strict Christian families and are gay, they would never just choose to be gay if they were brought up that way, and no one would try and be gay to make their parents mad it would ruin your own life, they can't help who their attracted to..

I doubt very much if many people who aren't already attracted to members of their own sex suddenly decide they want to be: how would that work?
On the other hand, I think the question of how much sexuality is genetic, or influenced by environmental factors (pre- or post-natal) is rather complicated and still unanswered. And certainly there is an element of choice in how a person chooses to identify themselves. It may even be easier than we might think to "choose" to develop an attraction to a particular person of either sex: I suspect we do this more than we realise, and that many marriages are based on one or both partners having, in some sense, chosen that this is the person they're going to love.
But I doubt very much if sexual attraction is so easily a matter of whim.
On the other hand, of course, it makes very little difference to how we treat and react to homosexuality and homosexual behaviour. Even if homosexuality were entirely a matter of choice, such a fact would not justify intolerance or prejudice.

well everybody is born exactly the same, it just takes longer for some people to figyoyoure it out. we are born human and we can't change that and if ur born gay u can't change that either. we are who we are. Does it matter if we were born gay??? as long as ur happy it doesn't really matter.

People are born gay just like people are born heterosexual and that is a life thing too. there is not one gay person that wants to be gay. they all would change today if they could. Just think of all the harassment they have to go through. would you want to endure that by choice? I don't think you would.

A life decision is where to buy a house, or what kind of car to buy. You don't decide one day to be gay, you are born that way. It is all biological.

no you cant be born gay it is just the enviorment you grow up in and how you see the enviroment you grew up in. people say that you can be born gay and you cant be born that way unless it runs in your genes and trust it defiently does not. so for those who think you are born gay you are wrong.
