Just hover your pointer over their image and a box will appear with their info on it. then, at the bottom of the box, click on +Add to Contacts.

Do u have a Yahoo beta address book on youre mailin home page ? if you do then you start adding youre friends e-mails address in yourw book then you also can add them on youre instant messnger buddies list by typeing their usernames names or emails then you just sent invited message to youre friends and just wait til they do accept it as their friends.
