Do you think that TV is a modern Trojan Horse?

Yes I do. It sneaks it's way into our psyche and then releases it's cargo of advertising. Creating demands where previously none existed. Filling vulnerable people full of images of grandeur then scraping the money out of their pockets when they make a vain attempt to achieve such grandeur. It relies on stereotypy, ignorance and potted logic. It's :"news" is ethnocentric. Does anyone really know what is happening in Iraq by watching TV news? Unlikely I say. It is far worse than the Trojan Horse my friend.

I really don't buy into this "TV is the devil-box" thing........like any other technology, its what you make of it.

Choice between watching late night wrestling or Frasier....between watching porn or cartoons...between watching national discovery or Real TV.......you get where i'm going...

yes, i think the best example is the propaganda campaign aimed at kids. in the past 10 years commercials and kids shows have begun having an African-American depicted as a best friend.
