    Dummies at AutoZone!

They got the code, that is what the computer told them! It doesn't have any sort of a "block" on it.

Code 1451 shows a trouble with the EVAP system. You may have trouble in one of the holding canisters, or a loose or split hose, or possibly a bad vent solenoid, or even a gas cap!.

There are specific tests and equipment needed to "kill" this code, and those are beyond the scope of the home mechanic. You can check all the emissions lines and canisters for damage and be sure the wiring is intact to the vent solenoid (this solenoid is usually the culprit) If all else fails, you'll have to go to a dealer.

The code P1451 is not shown in all computers because is a Ford specific code. This is what it is:

Evaporative Emission System Vent Control Circuit, and is related to the system that recirculates the gas fumes in your car.

Start by checking your gas cap and the hoses that go to the canister in the engine compartment.

    Hope it helps
