Is this correct? the farther south you go in the United States the more regular the weather becomes.?

I mean that if you go to for instance Florida, will the temperatures be more predictable (will they stay the same) more than for instance New York? Why?

Update:

Yes and no! Florida does have less change in temperature. Usually 40 for a very low and 100 for a high, but the humidity in the summer months is very high. And they have hurricanes,.

That is a loaded question, especially when the USA is so wide that it straddles many climatic zones (West Coast, Mountain zone, Central Zone and Eastern Seaboard).

Certainly the Southern States that are affected by the contrasting effects of cold air from Canada and Warm air from the Gulf, would hardly rank as more settled than the northern states.

Also, I wouldn't think Florida would be more settled than the central northern states. Maritime climates are always more changeable than Continental climates simply because of the effect of the Ocean.

Of course, if you are just talking temperature, then yes, maritime temperatures are more regular that continental ones. But climate is much more than just temperature.

I think your question needed to be more explicit.

LET'S RESTATE THIS ...THE FURTHER SOUTH ONE GOES IN THE UNITED STATES ...FOR INSTANCE FLORIDA ....THE WEATHER BECOMES MORE TEMPERATE...WHICH MEANS IT HAS LESS TEMPERATURE FLUCTUATIONS THAN SAY A NORTHERN CLIMATE IN UP STATE NEW YORK... HOWEVER THE PREDICTABILITY IS STILL THE SAME AS THE NORTHERN CLIMES .... THE WEATHER BECOMES MORE TEMPERATE AS ONE APPROACHES THE EQUATOR BECAUSE THE ANGLE TO THE SUN INCREASES

Here's a link for you to read about climates. By predictable do you mean a plateau of average year round temperatures?
