About Egypt ,people are friendly..yea & most of them are so kind & helpful.I was told that all Egyptian people speak pretty good English ,but it shows something different ...lol but don't worry some of them speak perfect Enlish & the rest speak poor English.It also depends on where will you stay ?I mean which city ?If Cairo ,Alexandria or Sharm el sheikh ,you will find some foreigner's comunities there....

About living in Egypt you would better rent an appartment ,don't think of hotels .If you e-mailed me with yourcity I'd reccomend some nice places "nice and not so expensive".

About prices it depends on the place and furneture but let's say from 1200-2000 LE which is around 350.90 $ a month,or quite more expensive.

If you are sharing appartment would be great ,so these fees would be reduced to the half.

Climate is quite cool during winters & "for me" is quite hot at summers.It never snows & it does rain but rarely it does in Cairo.

Food is really good ,hope you will like it & in Egypt there's a lot of universal restaurants ,so you won't miss any food"Italian,American even Chinese ...."

Egyptian food is also good but with more butter...lol,so take care of getting more weight there.

One US $ = 5.7 Egyptian pound, One Big Mac combo around 18 EG = $3

For accomodation you can have a well furnished flat in a classy area with 2500 egyptian pound / month around $ 440 all other expences will be around $ 700 so you can save monthly around $ 2300 / month

People are very friendly specially with strangers

You will find American fast food chains like KFC, McDonald's, Pizza Hut, Hardee's, Chilies

Cafes like Costa, Star Bucks

Climate is hot in July August September around 36 C , and below 20 C in December Jan and February

Tell him to take it for a year and then come back! Actually he is probably doing it for himself because if he left he would miss you and he probably wants to keep a good relationship going with his kids... you should tell him how much you appreciate that he wants to live near you but also that he should not pass up the job on your account... Who knows, maybe he's already worth millions and doesn't really need the money.

its a good one, i think i would spend around 1000- 2000 L.E per month (500 - 600 US$) which u could save from 2900 - 3000 US $) per month. yes i agree with some people that don't like the salary compared with the salaries in USA but from the expenditure perspective you will definitely spend less in Egypt as i said before rather than spending the whole salary for nothing in USA without savings.. its a good one mate go for it..

I'll say nothing more than...Live your life ! It's a triple excellent offer; give it to me and I'll live a king in Egypt. Not even mentioning how cheap Egyptian accomodations are ! Egypians are by nature amiable; once you step into Egypt, Your considered one of us ! Climate is somehow hot and humid in summer but cold in winter. You'll love it. Good luck.
