Between the time Lincoln was elected in November 1860 and his Inauguration on March 4,1861, seven southern states had seceded from the Union – South Carolina, Georgia, Texas, Florida, Mississippi, Alabama and Louisiana. Jefferson Davis had already been inaugurated in February 1861. The link below lists of the dates of secession up to the date of the Fort Sumter crisis.

    None, before. "I believe".

Except for the Indians, it was the last organized attempt to gain Freedom from the Federal Government.

    The Indians failed.

And....The Freedom Fighters from the South Failed, and were slaughtered during the War of Northern Agression.

(And in 2008, the country will feel the wrath of a Democrat President, and a Democrat Congress.)

    Communism here we come!!!!!!!!!!
