Aggresion/ guarding problem in puppy?

Hi help

i have a 10month old daschund cross pup (had him since he was 8 weeks old). I was told he was a dominat dog so i got him neutured at 6 months old. Ive never had a problem with him i can take food out of his mouth take toys of him ect. Hes been well socialised since he was a pup, gone everywhere with me. But recently a couple of incidents have worried me.

He has always been great of the lead and loved playing with other dogs, but yesterday a dog ran over and he went for the other dog. This has happened twice. And today i had to pick up my little cousins from school and when a child came over to him to stroke him he growl and barked aggresively. He also wet himself! He was shaking and growling. He is always guarding the house and follows me round everywhere and when we meet someone new he wont leave my side. We also got a new pup 4 weeks ago.

I am really shaken, is there anything i can do to stop this? I thought he was a confiedent dog who loves people and other dogs?

Update:

it was un-neutured dog

Update 2:

It was only after the new pup came. Im the leader and he knows it.

My dogs do not tolerate unneutered dogs. Is it possible the two dogs that he did NOT like were un neutered? That would be my first guess if he is used to playing with other animals.

I think you just have a tempramental dog. Dauchsunds have a one family mentality and anyone else is an untrusted stranger. Depending on the dog they may allways be like that. When he follows you around when he is scared he is just looking top the leader of the pack to protect him. A stout NO will stop it along with a squirt from a spray bottle. As he gets older the piddling will stop. They don't have much control over that as puppies. Good Luck.

Did this behavior start before or after the introduction of the new puppy.Being he has been top dog for a period of time he may be trying to reaffirm his position. If he feels his dominance can be compromised it can cause him to be more aggressive.Yet at the same time he shouldn't have been allowed to be the dominate dog that is the position you are supposed to have and keep.Dominance can be a dangerous thing.Once a dog has lost his position it will many times keep trying to prove itself.Meaning it keeps looking for things to over power.

Can you take him to a training school? Something is really wrong. Maybe jealous of the other puppy? You should take him to a trainer. You will learn so much about your pets. You know they would do anything for you so you should at least try a trainer. My dog goes to k-9 university and I love David.

    Dont ignore it!!!

    Wow no body reads.

Maybe it started with the puppy because he is protecting it. He is not growling at their ne w pup
