I've been using dictonary.com, which I love, but when I type in a word to see if it should be hyphenated...
it usually says it should be. Should I trust the fact that it is correct? Because I swear I've seen these words unhyphenated before in literature. Perhaps there are words that may or may not be hyphenated, it's simply up to the writer?

try using a normal dictionary or typing out the sentence in microsoft word and see if spell check brings it up
