Can I successfully fill out a patent application on my own, or do I need an attorney?

it usually says it should be. Should I trust the fact that it is correct? Because I swear I've seen these words unhyphenated before in literature. Perhaps there are words that may or may not be hyphenated, it's simply up to the writer?

Of course each time a new character speeks the paragraph changes, but how do you differentiate between thoughts? There has to be some sort of rules for paragraph breaks. Basics or a website would be great. Thank you.

The sentence is:
She received a book called, 'Spells Made Easy'.
I thought it should all be in caps since it is the title of a book, but my comp. is telling me only to cap Spells. I even have the title italicized. What's correct?

do you leave one inch margins, 12 font, Times New Roman, double spaced, and two spaces between the chapter title and the text, as well as tab over for paragraph indents?

I know there are different ways and it depends on what the standards are for that publishing co., but there must be a standard I can initially set it up in.

2. Is two-story spelled this way or storey?
3. She walked through the 'Employee's Only' door. - punctuation ok here, and is Only caps?
4. Level 1 Spells - should 1 be spelled out?
5. She decided to 'cheer the place up'. - puctuation ok here? No caps, correct?
6. Is crypticness a word? Microsoft picked it up as an error but I swear I've seen it before.

I'm writing a magical fiction and when typing out spells and chants should I capitalize and italicize them? ie: As she took up her wand she said, Tatome.
Should all words of the chapter heading be capitalized, but not in the contents. ie: Lost and Found Legacy (contents), Lost And Found Legacy (chapter title).
Is it er or err when someone doesn't know what to say. ie: Er, did you say dragon?
And how about ah in the same sense?
