Are you working in Word? You can turn on advanced grammar settings that will do that for you. It is lo and behold, leather-like, two-story, capital X, lowercase for the tooth fairy, the one you need work on is w--what.

There are two kinds of hyphens an n hyphen and an m hyphen. When hyphenating two words together, you use an n hyphen -- one hit of the hyphen key. But if you are using a hyphen for a pause or emphasis its an m hyphen -- two strokes of the hypen key with no spaces before or after.

Like this. W--what are you t--talking about Mom?

Got it? or I walked in the room and there she was--the most beautiful girl I had ever seen,

Hope that helps. Pax - C.

As Raymond William said, "culture is ordinary". It is created by people like us every day. I was editor of my School Magazine at high school.

Hyphenated - just whatever looks best to you.

    Lo and behold, not low.

Yes, that looks good to me, for somebody hesitating with their speech.

    It's two-storey, with an e.

Don't care about capitals, so long as you know what you're talking about.

    Same with the x/X.

I think people know what the tooth fairy is. They will recognise it, whichever way.
