Is the punctuation ok in this sentence?

Who wouldn't, what with all the crazy, and let's face it, unnerving information she'd been given the day before.

    In order for the statement to stand alone, I might change this to:

    What with all the crazy and, let's face it, unnerving information she'd been given the day before, who wouldn't [do the same]?

    I think your problem is less about grammatical correctness and more about clarity.
