1. No. She pulled up to a building bearing a sign that read, "The Village Square." -Quotation marks generally go outside the punctuation. See here for more information. http://wsu.edu/~brians/errors/quotation_marks.html
2. two-story is correct unless you are in the UK
3. No. She walked through the "Employees Only" door. - employees in this context is PLURAL not POSSESSIVE. If you don't understand that, see here. http://wsu.edu/~brians/errors/apostrophes1.html
4. Level One Spells - generally numbers less than 9 are spelled out, unless it is a title or something.
5. OK
6. Yes, although cryptic would probably be a better word in most instances. Get familiar with dictionary.com. It is your friend! Also has a handy thesaurus.
7. Seems OK, although a sentence fragment.

1. That's fine.

4. It depends if its, Level 1: Spells (Many levels in training but only one dealing with spells. But, if there were many levels dealing with spells it would be, Level-One Spells. Level-Two Spells.
5. This one depends on the context. Is she refurnishing the place so it appears more cheery, or is she trying to cheer the people in the place up to be more lively? No need to use quotes unless the quote is out of context.
6.No, it's not. Choose another word.
7. That's fine.

1 - looks fine to me
2 - ok too and I think its story
3 - looks ok
4 - I wouldnt spell 1 out in that case
5 - looks ok to me
6 - I dont think its a word - try dictionary.com
