No I doubt it. The people at check in will confiscate it from you and then later they will go back out and eat it themselves. Same with all the perfumes and makeup and stuff they take away from people - it all gets pocketed by airline staff.
I have a friend who works in loading planes and the security guys even made him give up his stuff even though he works there and has the security clearance to load the planes every day. He saw one of the security guys eating the lunch they stole from him with his own eyes!!!!

I just got back from two DOMESTIC trips..and here's what happend..
if you bring any type of food from home regardless in clear ziplock bag or plastic container they will ask you to throw it out.
If you stuff at the airport its all fine and good but if you bring it from home even something as simple as a "Water Bottle"..they'll ask you to finish it before you pass through the gates or they'll ask you to toss it out.
I flew with Continental and Jet Blue recently...before that I used United and American..
I think they've all become this way, maybe someone can tell you a airline that is ok with passangers bringing outside food on the plane ?

Most food may be brought on board airplanes these days, but you need to be practical and courteous about your selections.
Turkey sandwich from a deli = Good
A tupperware full of granny's chicken soup = bad
Trail mix and a yogurt cup = good
Roasted garlic on garlic foccacia = bad.
Sticking with pre-wrapped, processed food are the best bet.

well, you can bring food. but be sure, you will bring products with its label. Because let's say, you want to bring mangoes, them put them in a plastice bag, the airline management will not allow that. Bit if you will bring dried mangoes in its original packaging, they will allow.
Happy trip......GOD BLESS!
