Do you believe in Marriage or do you think?

It's better to live with your partner. That marriage is just a bit of paper and is not necessary

Update:

I have been wed for 10 years and we have been together for 17 years i am so happy that we took the plunge when we did and have never been happier

To me marriage proves your committment to the other person. When you just live with somoene, either one can walk away at any time. With marriage, you are committing to that person to stay there through good and bad. At least that is what it's supposed to be for. (For some reason, alot of peple don't take it as seriously anymore, the divorce rate has shot up.--people think it's a lot easier to move on to the next relationship, than work on the marriage.) People need to stop taking the easy way out and actually work on relationships.....if you truly love someone it's never going to be perfect, but you can stay happy for the rest of your lives. I've seen it done! And I still see it today!

Hi Bella - I believe marriage is a wonderful way to show your committment to someone. HOwever, it seems to be taken very lightly by a lot of people, they see it as a wedding and a good party, rather than a life long partnership. I dont think its changed myself and my hubby, weve been together for 8 years, married 8months today, but then we waited a long time. We even bought a house before getting married, I think a mortgage is a bigger committment lol! Hope this answers your question xx

I believe in marriage, married for nearly 28 years, but it is up to the persons involved and would not condemn them for not having a piece of paper. It is what is in the heart that counts not what is on a piece of paper.

I think marriage wont change your relationship,if you love someone then that's all that matters. But if someones happy to get married and have the full commitment then i don't see a problem with that.

I think marriage is a proper sign of commitment. You shouldn't have kids with someone unless you're willing to swear infront of your family, friends and whoever your god is that you are commited to that person and that person only.

Marriage is more than a piece of paper.

It is taking vows with somebody that you love before God and your families. People need to take these vows; and absorb them and live them!

It's embarrassing that the divorce rate is so high.

To me, marriage is not necessary. I've already been there, done that, and it was so damn difficult just to get a divorce, I'd hate to have to go through that again.

    Yep I believe in marriage.

Being married doesn't change anything but it proves your commitment to each other, which in my opinion is a worthwhile cause.
