I just did a paper on the intro of TV and its effects on american family life... you should find these books at a local library:
Make Room For TV - Lynn Spiegel
Big World, Small Screen - Aletha C. Huston
Prime-Time Families - Ella Taylor
Television and the American Family - Jennings Bryant
When you go to the library, look around at other titles close to the books you get, there will be lots of books that can help you.
