What's in a name?
I have an English essay to write, and I was wondering what you think of names. So, I am asking you what the name "Jason" means to you.
Note: I already know history, etymological roots, and meaning of the name. I would enjoy if you could give me what comes to you when you hear the name. (Besides Jason X or Freddy)

I tend to group names with people that I already know. Unfortunately I used to know a guy named Jason and he was a total jerk......he cheated on his g/f and used to hit her.
I think alot of people do that...........remember people they knew with the same name etc.

a name... a rose by any other name would still be a rose...
jason makes me think of the mythological story of Jason and the golden fleece (the argonauts legend).
As I have never known any "jason", the actual personification is not possible. I believe names are only a convention, and we tend to personify them depending on the people we know.

What's behind the name. There were kids who were mean to me, strange or geeky, and even in adulthood I don't care for the names. It's what a person associates with the name. Think back to your early school years. I bet you'll find you don't care for names that have bad connotations from that time.
