What is the clear sticky stuff on the stalks where the blooms are on my otherwise healthy orchid?

    It's normal for them to get a tiny bit of sap (it's sap) oozing from the spikes (name for orchid flower stems). But if it's more than a tiny bit, I'd say you have bugs that are too small to see, and your plant is "bleeding". Wipe the affected area with rubbing alcohol. It won't hurt the plant.
