Whats the nicest thing you've ever done?

If the people who collect money for different organizations and sit outside grocery stores count as strangers than donating to them would be the nicest thing I guess. Oh a woman in front of me at the grocery store didn't have enough money so I lent her a dollar so she could pay.

The nicest thing I ever did for a stranger (that I can remember offhand) was the time when I snuck out of the house, without telling my parents, to walk through the pouring rain to the nearest post office so I could fax a page from my history textbook for some girl I didn't know that well from school. The road I was walking on didn't have a sidewalk, so I could have gotten hit by a car. It took me a while to get there, since the post office was like a mile away. I couldn't even find the post office once I got there, and when I finally did, I had to pay for the fax with my own money. I wanted to do the nice thing for her, but I really don't think I want to go out of my way like that again.
