Why does Elektra count as she walks slowly?(Elektra Movie)?

she refers this as OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder). So why does she do it?

    Irs a ninja thing probably.

    Apart from OCD, counting your steps also lets her know how far distances are if she has to run back.

    In the 2005 movie, "Elektra," Elektra counts as she walks slowly as a reference of OCD, which stands for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.

    You answered your own question. I would guess it had something to do with measuring distances for when she throws her sai.
