windows messenger? somebody used my computer to sign on and check their messages from hotmail?
I use windows XP, Now everytime that I want to turn on my computer and have to click on my name to type the password, it tells me that I have 144 new messages. This happened because she signed on from my computer. How can I make that email account not be associated with my computer again?

Delete all the cookies from your system.
Then restart your system. That should take care of the problem.

This is a bit risky but it worked for me after my brother signed into my computer and I had the same problem as you.
If you don't want to show unread mail on the Welcome screen, follow this:
1. Click the start button and open 'Run'. Then start the Registry Editor by typing 'Regedit'.
2. Navigate to the following folder in the registry:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\UnreadMail
3. Right-click the UnreadMail folder, and then click 'Permissions'.
4. Click the System account, and then click to select the Deny check box for Full Control.
5. Click 'OK'.
6. Quit Registry Editor.
Hope this helps!
