What bands are similar to X Japan?
I've recently discovered X Japan and I think their music is amazing, particularly the later progressive albums. My question is, what other J-Rock bands are out there with anything close to the same level of skill & emphasis on soulful ballads like X Japan?

Hey X-japan really rock dont they? I haven't found anything thats up to their standard, but maybe checkout Luna Sea, and Loudness. Might be something you like in either of those Japanese rock/metal Bands.

There are a few well solutions there,i would definetly consider... All Time Low The Cab (however their AMAZING guitarist left the band lately =[) The Maine The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus Panic! At The Disco Cobra Starship Boys Like Girls and probably a few... Jimmy consume World Lost Prophets Forever the Sickest Kids Four Year Strong A Rocket To The Moon however dont count on to discover anybody greater than Paramore,since they kick everyones most important ***!!
