Texas Rangers fans, what was the name of the player that was deaf?
This player was back from the early-to-mid ninties. So this question is for Rangers fans that have followed the team for a while. I don't know if they have retired or not. I kind of lost interest in baseball after the strike of the mid-ninties. It was then that I lost track of this particular player.
It wasn't Rusty Greer, Kevin Mench, or Hank Blalock, was it?
All rude answers will be reported.
I remember that there was a television interview with this player at one point. When he talked, it sounded like how a deaf person talks. I also can recall that he was Caucasian.

Curtis Pride is a deaf ball player but I don't think he ever played for the Rangers.
[He is in the minors now for the Angels.]
[Dave Righetti is not deaf and never played for Texas -- his daughter is deaf]
