  • Will I be able to retain my original phone number and minutes if I switch Trac Fones?

I have a damaged Trac phone, and it desperately needs to be replaced. If I buy a replacement from Wal-Mart and insert the Sim Card from my old phone, will I retain my original phone number and unused minutes?

  • Are there backup drivers in NASCAR? Or does one driver do the entire race?

I know this seems like a dumb question, but I don't know that much about NASCAR. I've tried to research this online, but I haven't gotten any definite answers.

  • What are your thoughts about the United States government throwing money at the recession issue?

President Obama is going to throw a "$800 plus" billion dollar bailout toward recession relief. Is it just me, or does it seem like the government has a bad habit of throwing money at big problems?

Wouldn't it make sense to investigate the source of the recession first?

  • Can anyone recommend a good website with controversial ghost videos?

I don't want to see stuff that has proven to be fake or is fake. I'm also not interested in orb videos either.

  • What if the government offered you prosperity and security in exchange for heavily restricting your liberties?

Would you go along with the idea? Or would you be willing to fight the government in order to retain your freedom?

Please be more descriptive then 'yes or no'. Simple answers will not be considered for best answer.

  • What do I do on my federal income tax forms if I didn't receive income last year?

I'm a college student, and I generally only work during the summer. I didn't last summer because I went to school. Therefore, I did not receive a W2.

  • What is the radioactive material used in Resting NVGs?

For those of you that don't know, a resting NVG is a form of heart scan. The technicians remove a sample of blood via an IV - then expose the sample to a particular radioactive material.

I'm curious to learn more about the radioactive substance that is used. I've Googled it and tried Wikipedia without any results. In particular, I'm curious as to the length of its halflife.

  • Christians and anyone else, is it natural to have mixed feelings about Islam?

If you are Muslim, please don't be insulted by this question. I understand that it is only extremists that hate the United States. I also understand that the actions of a few thugs shouldn't deface an entire group of people.

In contrast, I have some mixed feelings for the Islamic faith. I don't accept it, yet I don't reject it. Is this normal for a Christian (or non-Christian)?

This question is directed toward Christians, but I'll accept any responses.

  • Where did things go wrong between Israel and Palestine?

I know I could research this on Wikipedia, but I want to hear people's responses - not dribble from an encyclopedia.

Feel free to share your opinions - not necessarily historical information.

  • Where did things go wrong between the United States and the Middle East?

I know that I can research this on Wikipedia, but I'm more interested in hearing people's responses - not dribble from an encyclopedia.

Did things decay diplomatically in the 1970s with the oil embargo?

Or did it stretch back to when the US helped Israel?

  • What do street gangs do when they get together?

This question is toward gang members - past or present. I'm not asking for any confessions here. This is strictly for research purposes only.

I'm currently writing a book where one of the main characters is an ex- gang member that is about to be executed for murder.

How do you guys (and gals) orchestrate your crimes? Is there any planning that goes on or is it random?

When you get into a brawl, do you scuffle with rival gangs more often? Or the police? Or innocents?

If you are an ex-gang member, what made you stop being one?

Check out this news blooper reel that I found recently.

Are there any other websites that have good news outtakes?

I've already researched some from Yahoo! and Google, but I'm curious to see if there are any others that I might have missed.

  • Fellow Christians, do you believe in the Big Bang theory?

And God said, "Let there be light," and there was light. God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness. God called the light 'day', and the darkness he called 'night'. And there was evening, and there was morning - the first day

    [Genesis 1:3-5, NIV]

Do you believe that there might be a correlation between the Big Bang and these verses?

Let's face it. Before the universe we know was created, it was dark and without form. When God spoke light into existence, it came from that darkness - almost like an explosion.

  • Are there any good websites to research Civil War revolvers?

I am trying to find information on the British Tranter Navy and Army Double-trigger revolvers. I have tried to research it using Wikipedia and Google, but the only information that comes up is the inventor's biography.

Does anyone know of a good website to research about this gun?

Just want to know how the gun was fired and if it was a commonly used weapon.

(The thing that made the Tranter a unique weapon was the fact that the cocking hammer was the lower 'trigger' and the firing hammer was the upper. Reverse to the common revolver of the period.)

  • Did lawless towns of the wild west have mayors?

By wild west, I mean the time during the Reconstruction Era after the Civil War.

I know that they typically had sheriffs that would try to restore order from time to time, but what about the town's government? Would there have been a mayor, regardless of the presence of a sheriff?

I'm asking this because I'm trying to write a western novel. I'm trying to decide if I should include a scene where the town's mayor gets assassinated - aside from the other turmoil in the opening scenes of the book.

Did they use street signs and street names in their cities?

Or was everything in relation to a town center, market, or other landmark?

  • Is anyone reading The Shadow and Night by Chris Walley?

I know that this is a long shot because this author isn't very well known. But it is a futuristic alagory - with in the traditions of J.R.R. Tolkien and C.S. Lewis.

If anyone is reading it, what do you think of the story?

Is it almost too easy to figure out?

I think it is. The fact that the author reveals that Satan has been bound but not destroyed is too much of a give away.

If you have not read this book, just claim your two points by saying 'no' and move on. No rude comments please.

  • Texas Rangers fans, what was the name of the player that was deaf?

This player was back from the early-to-mid ninties. So this question is for Rangers fans that have followed the team for a while. I don't know if they have retired or not. I kind of lost interest in baseball after the strike of the mid-ninties. It was then that I lost track of this particular player.

It wasn't Rusty Greer, Kevin Mench, or Hank Blalock, was it?

All rude answers will be reported.
