when you are finished ironing, but going to use iron again in 10 min., is it best to unplug-turn off-leave on?

    un plug b/c irons waste a lot of electricity more than you think. just try it. if you iron a lot in a month then you dont next bill cycle youll see how much elct. you waste

    If there are no children or pets that might knock it over go ahead and leave it on. If it creates a hazard in any way turn it off and set it somewhere out of reach.

    Personally, I would leave the iron turned on. No liabilities accepted. :0)

    for "Safety" I would shut it off. Recovery time to re-heat won't be long. If children are present, Un-plug, and remove to outside.

    yes turn it off that way if you bump it and it falls over you will not burn anything and it just takes a few sec to reheat
