Fellow PET LOVERS...I am outraged that the FDA chooses to?

suppress the names of additional companies that still have potentially melamine-tainted pet food on the store shelves. This is unacceptable!!! Pets have died and if the FDA has ANY pertinent information it should be released to protect our animals. How do YOU feel about this??!!

I absolutely agree with you! There was a Congressional hearing today regarding food recalls and pet food was a big part of it. Senator Durbin has publicly requested that the FDA release the name of the second importer and the two companies who haven't issued recalls on their use of tainted rice protein concentrate. Go, Senator Durbin!

there is evidence the tampering may have been intentional as the melamine that contaminated the food is sometimes added to make the protein content appear higher than it really is. also the tainted wheat gluten may have made it into human food as well. pig feed has been confirmed as having the tainted wheat gluten. read more here..http://www.nowpublic.com/fraud_tainted_pet_food_ma...

I think you should go completely around it by choosing a company that does more buisness with American manufactureres that don't outsource. There are plenty of suppliers here in the US. Avoid the brands that choose not to use them!

It is horrible. My vet thinks it was done intentionally. My pets almost got sick!! I read an article in our newspaper saying their brand name was now infected... so i took them straight to the vet for lab tests and they were safe thank god!
