6 year old granddaughter's rudeness?
I am hoping for some reasonable advice. My son and daughter-in-law came over for dinner on December 30th. My granddaughter spat food she didn't like all over the table repeatly. My daughter-in-law tried to correct her and my son wouldn't allow it. Why is my son being such a jerk? I realize some people will bash me for this question. To those who help, I thank you in advance. (I never raised him like that.)
16 AnswersGrade-Schooler1 decade agoAnother recall!?
Nutra Nuggets (made by Diamond Pet Foods) is recalling their 40 pound Lamb Meal and Rice Dry Formula for Dogs. The contaminated batch’s product code is #NLR0404 and the Best Buy dates are October 9-10, 2008. The vet on the recall line said it is cross-contamination due to food being produced for Natural Balance (Natural Balance had recalls in mid-April). At this time, he said that no other food produced by Nutra Nuggets was being recalled. This was on the www.itchmo.com website. It has not made it to www.fda.gov site yet.
2 AnswersDogs1 decade agoNot a question, but a reminder?
To those of you in hurricane areas the ASPCA and Humane Society websites have lots of good information about disaster preparedness and your pets. Actually these plans would work for just about any natural or otherwise disaster. The Red Cross will not allow pets into emergency shelters, so we need to figure out our alternatives.
Best,
Susan

I answered a conservative political question with a liberal answer. Ok we can deal with that. Now the question is gone. What happened? Did someone report a violation? Not right folks, we can argue this stuff. Who did this? This is wrong!

I have heard that putting soap around the plants will keep the deer from eating them. What are some non-toxic things I can try?
14 AnswersGarden & Landscape1 decade agoHow did your pets' nicknames evolve?
I took in a feral cat - first i called him Little Cat, then Little, then Little Diddle, then The Dids, and now my daughter calls him Big D.
(It's perfectly all right if you think this is stupid; I'm just curious.)
16 AnswersOther - Pets1 decade agoLyme disease season?
How long after a bite by a deer tick do you need to watch for Lyme symptoms? I don't want to take antibiotics unless I need to.
2 AnswersInfectious Diseases1 decade agoUrine issues and cats?
I wish people would understand that they need to take a cat that urinates outside the box to the vet. Everyone is quite quick to claim "BEHAVIOR" without checking. The advent of dry cat food has caused FLUTD (google it, ok?). It is the cause of so many cat euthanasias and it is a treatable condition. Take your cat to the vet first, then check on behavior issues. We do it with humans, rule out medical conditions, so do it with your cat.
4 AnswersCats1 decade agoMisdemeanor? You're kidding!?
According to an Associated Press article I just read: "Menu Foods also said the U.S. Attorney's offices in Kansas and the western district of Missouri have targeted the company as part of misdemeanor investigations into whether it violated the federal Food, Drug & Cosmetic Act. The sale of adulterated food is a misdemeanor."
Somebody put a toxin in the grains to spike the protein level, killed and injured thousands of pets, and it's a misdemeanor! How stupid is that. It sounds like an invitation to terrorists.
7 AnswersOther - Pets1 decade agoWhy do you think my sister's farm is your animal shelter?
Here it is spring again. Now all the idiots who didn't have their animals spayed/neutered will be dropping off their puppies and kittens at my sister's farm. She works hard and doesn't have much money either. Why should she pay to have your animals taken to the vet or take time out of her day to take them to the shelter? Even if she shot them she'd have to pay for bullets and the lime to bury them in. Come on people, farmers don't want or need your cast-offs. NEUTER YOUR PETS!!!
