Yeah... other countries do the same thing... its called an extradition treaty... all it means is that if someone commits a crime in another country they can't come here and be safe because they will be taken back to that country if caught; that is, if there is an extradition treaty between the U.S. and that country. Most western countries have extradition treaties with each other, except for Switzerland, which is why you always here about bad guys having Swiss bank accounts.
