Is a 38 yr. old Man TOO OLD TO DATE a 20 yr. old Woman?

Is a 38 year old man too old to be involved with a mature 20 year old woman? We are both interested in each other... but should I be... I mean he's almost twice my age?

Update:

I am 20 and he is 38, do you think it's okay for us to be interested in each other? do you think its weird?

Look if your mature enough to handle a real man, then yes why not. Why would u want to date these little boys who think a relationship is doing it 3 times a week. You need a real man who knows family, commitment, intimacy and communication. If your 38 year old friend is like this then go for it.

well, you are going to get alot of opinions on this one.But I would say this all depends on where you both are in your lives.I mean, if you are truly mature and already have your path set up for where you want to go in life (college, career, etc.) and he is o-k with this and knows you will have limited time sometimes to be with him because of future goals then o-k.Also, is he mentally stable with a career and good morals and life goals? if so then sure why not.But if he is an flunky living with grandma in her basement has 3 kids from a previous marriage that he hardly ever sees and don't pay for then I would say no.

You see, just cause you date and older man doesn't mean your choices have ended and you cant move on from that.

One things for sure, the older man will be a good teacher in many things in life and just may help you to make better choices for the right one to be with forever.

If you want to be with him forever though just remember that if you want kids its likely you will both be in two different realms when it comes to age and ability to be there for those kids in the long run.Someone starting a family at 38yrs old is already past their prime time to do so and will be old and decrepit at the teen ages of your children,or worse.

Just use your head and take all into consideration before making a decision.

Since you're only talking about dating, I don't see the problem. Dating is a great way to find out if you have more in common than just a surface attraction. Keep it casual and have fun!

As long as you both are interested who cares about the number. I have never understood why people put so much thought into someones age.

P.S. I say that meaning as long as they are both adults, Thank you very much.

well this is the 21first century, so i mean if you both like each other, whats the problem, age is just a state of mind right. you both are adults make the decision together. just look a Demi moore and ashton .

i think it is weird, i mean he was 18 when you were just born. age matters less as you get older but you would get a second look from me if I saw you. Plus people might think he is your father as opposed to a boyfriend.

He is old enough to be your father. You would have little in common with him, and chances are when he has gotten what he wants from you he will leave you for someone younger still.

My sister is 26 or 27 and her husband is 40 something. So I don't see anything wrong with it.

absolutly not! You two are both adults and can date who ever you please. Age is just a number!

You talking about yourself or your friend? But anyway, yes, I think it's gross.
