Is it ok for a pregnant woman to take a walk or go out during night?

It is wonderful to take a walk, but maybe not the safest idea to do it at night by yourself, even if you are not pregnant. Or did you mean like go out to dinner or something going out during night. If that's what you mean you could probably get away with going to even dance clubs as long as you don't drink and they aren't all filled with smoke. I would be concerned about someone bumping into you to hard or pushing you down or something.
Walking is a very good thing to do while pregnant, it works all the muscles you use in childbirth.

Well in the evening ... yeah but @ night is kinda of pushing it! I mean we all know the safety rules - Never Walk Alone. But if U live in a nice area, N there is good lighting around than it might be alright. If U R anything like me, the dark alone N watching forensics on court tv U might be a little ify, N besides my husband... he so over protective ( n a good way) but let me tell U something hes not just going to let me take off N the night for a stroll. I better get my exercise another way. So if U walking at night, keep U eyes open b/c U never know N U have a life inside of U that also 1/2 belongs to someone else (neat, huh) Good Luck N Don't Forget to Exercise while pregnant *wink* Congrats on Ur New Addition!

It's fine for you to continue doing the things you did before becoming pregnant, just being careful not to overdo it. Your body will be a good indicator of this as it will ache lots when you do something it's not happy with!
Walks are fine and reccomended to keep you fit and healthy, just make sure that you're walking somewhere safe and not too late at night (same as for any woman, pregnant or not!)
As for going out at night, there's only a few things to keep in mind. Obviously the biggie is no drinking, secondly try to avoid pubs/clubs where a lot of fighting goes on because you do NOT want to be pushed over or worse if a fight starts near you. Also remember to respect your body's natural need to sleep. The tiredness can be overwhelming and it can affect your health as a whole. So it's fine to go out at night, but not too often, and remember to catch up on your sleep.
Lastly, in my experience of going out clubbing whilst pregnant, the baby kicked along to the music, but the club wasn't intolerably loud. Concerts etc which pound out VERY loud music for hours might distress the baby after a while. Just imagine if you were trying to sleep. ;)

Most times, unless there is a problem with the pregnancy, a doctor will tell you that exercise, within reason, is a good thing in pregnancy. There are even exercises specifically for pregnant women. NO bicycling though, I did one time, and it threw me in to labor! Walking is excellent. At night, being pregnant makes you an easy target, take someone with you. Night air is fine, and sometimes it just feels good to get a nice evening breeze. Simply wear appropriate clothing for the weather. Make sure you don't get a chill, or get too hot and start to sweat too much. Congrats, and good luck to you and yours!

Yes Of course !!Walking is good for a pregnant lady !It keeps circulatory system running well !Most of the time woman gets some thrombosis means clotting of the blood inside their leg veins and they might get detached any time in life to cause embolism any where in body ! This happens more during pregnancy time ! So to avoid future risk of such conditions you should walk during pregnancy but at easy ! No fast walking ! It should be not strenuous !easy walk !daily till the delivery time !I have seen working pregnant woman doing laborious work in morning & have given child birth in evenng !Always YouRsmE

well it depends its ok to go out for walks and stuff during the night but u NEED to have someone with you even if u know the neighbors or neighborhood very well you should always keep someone with you or even better go out before the sun goes completely down that way you can still get excercise and you dont have to worry about anything happening while u are out!

That is quite fine. Walking is a form of exercise and keeping active is good for some who is pregnant. Now where going out is concerned whilst you are not going anywhere that could jeopardize your pregnancy then it is ok. Oh and another thing no alcohol while you are out.

of course! It is encouraged! You need some exersize...and walking is low impact..so it is the best form of exersize while you are pregnant. I don't know what you mean by go out during the night...but try not to go anywhere there is smoking, It can harm the baby. Good luck =)
