Does anybody recognise this film and what is it called??

...yep!!! Unmistakenly, this was 1990's "Fear", one of the last films distributed by the short-lived, now-defuncted Vestron Pictures, who hit it's cinematic peak with the film "Dirty Dancing", in 1987.

"Fear", of course, starred Ally Sheedy, but also starred Michael O'Keefe, of "Caddyshack' fame, and still-ravishing actress & ex-cover girl, Lauren Hutton.

LIONSGATE recently picked up "Fear" for distribution on DVD, and put it on a 'flipper' disc, accompanied by yet another post-Vestron entry, entitled "Parents" (1989), a gruesomely dark comedy, about a introversive young boy, who begins to question the origin of the meat his parents (Randy Quaid and Mary Beth Hurt) keep bring home for dinner.

OMG i remember the film from your description , the murderer had ginger hair and he was quite big ,at the end of the film they are at a fair on the big wheel xx

Ally Sheedy played the character Cacey Bridges in Fear.

Ooh yeah, wasn't it one of the Arquette sisters? Can't remember the name - its on the tip of my tongue.......
