Prayer and good thoughts?

Would anyone send prayers and good thoughts towards New York? My Grandma Helen passed away the other night. She was a good woman, always smiling and ready to help those who needed it.

Update:

Thomas, I'll ignore your insensitivity towards the recent death in my family. I, unfortunetly, live too far to care for my Grandma, but the family that lived by her did care for her. She had those who loved her by her day and night, and died peacefully.

Update 2:

Posidean, that's sweet, but if Grandma Helen got up and walked around, we'd be burying the rest of my family, who would die from shock.

    May the perpetual light of understanding shine on her;

    May she be greeted and welcomed into the community of angels;

    May her life be understood;

    May the people she has helped remember her.

    For the world was a better place because of her.

    And heaven is a better place for her.

    So it is, so let it be.

    (A specific prayer created for your Grandmother. All the best!)

    Dear Sister Steph, my condolences on your recent bereavement, but you know as well as I that your beautiful Grandmother is with God and already receiving the reward of the good and faithful servant.

    Forgive the wicked remarks you have received here as these poor souls must be in terrific chaos inside.

    May the Lord who wept at the death of His friend Lazarus comfort you and your family.

    God bless.

    I am sorry to hear about your grandmother passing away. I have yet to lose someone close to me and I dread that day. I know right now things seem so bleak but know others before you who have lost a loved one and as they got through this so will you and I when my time comes to go through it. May God bless you and your family. My prayers are with you all.

    On "the list", dear one! I'll put Helen on Sunday's RIP list, too (she'll be on there with a long list of departed Diocesan Clergy, who we remember on the 29th of every month, but I promise I'll add her name!!) Pax Christi.

    We beseech Thee, O Lord,

    in Thy mercy,

    to have pity on the soul of Thy handmaid;

    do Thou, Who hast freed her

    from the perils of this mortal life,

    restore to her the portion of everlasting salvation.

    Through Christ our Lord,

    Amen.

    Consider it done. I will pray for the family also that their sorrow would be comforted and their joyous memories would be healing in this time.
