American Beauty, definitely. About the most lush cinematography and graphic work you ever will see. And the soundtrack was killer, too.

Beautiful as in romantic than I'd have to say Gone with the wind.
If you mean beautiful as in visualy any Zhang Yimou film (Hero, House of Flying Daggers and Curse of the Golden Flower)

i think the top 5 most beautiful movies for me would have to be (in no particular order):
1. moulin rouge!
2. what dreams may come
3. finding nemo
4. gone with the wind
5. american beauty
all of them are beautiful in different ways. moulin rouge is the epitome of a surreal romantic fantasy. what dreams may come is beautiful both in its views of heaven and love. finding nemo is like a lullaby, with the anemones and the reef swaying underwater with thomas newman's music that is just absolutely perfect. gone with the wind is the epitome of hollywood romance, featuring clark gable and vivien leigh (who is quite possibly the most beautiful woman to walk this earth). And american beauty, which reminds us that the simplest things are the most beautiful sometimes.
i think an honorable mention has to go to Dancer in the Dark, which features bjork in one of the great performances in cinema history, along with her beautiful haunting music.

Beyond Borders. Angelina Jolie and a hottie. It's about Drs across borders saving lives and what they have to go thru to get funding. There is more, the beauty is there.
