Facials might help a little but for cystic acne you might want to go a different route. Contact a dermatologist or a laser center and inquire about Activated Light/Laser facials (maybe also called Levulon treatments) or omnilux treatments (blue/red/clear light) . They call it the topical acutane without the ingestion of harmful substances they. Work amazingly. Not trying to sell you anything but here is a useful sight.

Hi, I am so sorry to here about your situation as I am a female who has been through acne trials as well. I know how devastating it can be. I became really insecure and afraid to leave the house because of my skin, but things have gotten a lot better. One product that has worked for me is the Clean and Clear Advantage Acne control Kit. It can dry out the skin, but it should be ok, since you have oily skin. It includes a face cleaser, a spot treatment and a moisturizer. For acne scars, you could try natural lemon juice as it is a natural bleaching agent as welll as apple cider vinegar for both the acne and acne scars. You can also try a bleaching cream or gel from a company called makeup artist choice online. This has worked for me. They also have chemical peels and different weekly face masks that you can try. You can also try a sugar scrub to exfoliate your skin well. You can mix about a 1/4 cup of brewed green tea, 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar, about a half cup of honey and about 1/2 cup of sugar. Mix well and massage onto the face for about 2 to 5 minutes and let it sit for 10 minutes. Rinse well and pat dry. You can also mix some apple cider vinegar and green tea for a toner after you wash. Dip a cotton ball into your apple cider vinegar and green tea mixture and wipe across the affected area and leave it and wait for it to dry and then moisturize. You could also try Neutrogena pore refining cleanser and toner. Oh yeah, and diet and stress can be a big trigger. I hope that you get that under control soon and drink plenty of water.

    NATURAL ACNE PROTOCOL

1/ Never, ever touch your face.

2/ Use 3 facecloths to wash your face, one to soap on, one to soap off with very hot water, one to rinse off with ice cold water, in that order, once a day.

3/ If you are under 18 take 5,000 IU of vitamin A once a day with a full meal

4/ If you are over 18 take 5,000 IU of vitamin A twice a day with a full meal.

Do not get pregnant while taking vitamin A. Do not take any more, like Accutane, it will stop you growing.

5/ Never, ever. pick, squeeze or pop your spot. Read number 1 again.

6/ Do this for 90 days.

7/ Invest in a brand new pillow and 2 new or more pillow cases to double bag' your pillow. HOT wash every couple of days.

A bit of advice given to me as a teenager, a bit of science as I am studying allergic reactions and vitamin A is a part of that. A bit of research: I sat in a lecture at the back and watched the acne prone pick at their faces, those with the worse acne touched their faces 32 times in an hour, the clearest complexions didn't touch their faces even once. I have circumstantial evidence that acne is the result of dermatophyte transfer from hands to face...where it does not get washed off and is well fed by hormones, sweat a

nd oil...just a hypothesis... But it would explain why vitamin A is so effective as vitamin causes skin to remove dermatophytes.

The secret is never to touch the spots

Tips on how to treat acne and achieve perfect clear skin in as little as 7 days?

Definitely make an appointment with a skin care professional -- an esthetician. There is help for you. Using a product with salycilic acid is essential. Keep your hands off of your face (you can spread bacteria) and cleanse your skin twice a day (a.m. and p.m.) with a professional cleanser for acneic skin. There are many great treatments available for acne. Professional care is the only way to go with cystic acne. I doubt you would ever be able to clear it up by yourself using over-the-counter (drugstore, department store) products.

if you're having difficulties w/ your skin , try this.

try applying cucumber juice from fresh cucumbers. Run a peeled, fresh cucumber ( buy the one that comes in a plastic wrap) through a juice maker and use it to wash your face with every morning instead of a regular cleanser. . Pour the juice into a deep plate and dunk each side of your face in there for a few minutes . ( first one side and then the other). After that pour it on the palm of your hand and smoothe it over your face.

. Leave it on for a few minutes and wash it off w/water only

This will make your skin softer, smoother and also help w/oiliness. It also helps to soothe and heal skin. It also draws out skin's impurities such as blackheads, etc.

Yes possibly but I would suggest seeing your dermatologist first. I had moderate-medium acne but then my dermotologist prescribed me with the stuff called RetinA and it cleared up in just a couple of months. There was also a pill that goes along with. Hope that helps!

    give this a try first..

    raw unpasteurized apple cider vinegar

to open the pores and loosen dirt and grease from your face turn off the heat from a pan of distilled water, add 3 tablespoons apple cider vinegar to a quart of the hot water. drape a towel over the pan and your head to steam clean your pores. take a cotton ball, dip in vinegar and pat over skin to remove loosened dirt. repeat 2 more times. then spray or dab on

chilled vinegar and equal part of distilled water to close your pores and tone your skin. do twice weekly, also can use the chilled vinegar water as a toner 2 times daily.

    it is amazing ....

i also drink the vinegar, 1-2 tablespoons in water with honey in the morning..and i use the vinegar water as a toner 2 times daily..

    raw unpasturized apple cider vinegar..

the following 2 testimonials can be seen at http://www.earthclinic.com/cures/acne.ht...

Angelina O, has found that applying ACV topically to her face several times a day (4 or more times) has cured her of a "very bad complexion". She reports that she applies it straight and that while it burns her skin a bit, it still works like a miracle!

Cheryl writes, "My daughter developed a case of moderate acne, and after trying a number of different things for over a year which helped very little or not at all, she started drinking 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar three times a day and applying it topically once at night. She has been acne free for two months. It took about three weeks to clear up."

to drink, add to water and honey, or to apple juice.

you can get the vinegar at the health food store, or in some super markets.
