Vinegar and water. Mix a solution of equal parts. Soak a wash cloth in it, ring it out, and apply. It will take the heat out of the burn and comfort the area. Keep doing this. It smells, but, works well. You could also apply cooling sunburn gel to the burn. It takes the sting out and helps repair the skin. Do not use Noxema, it holds the heat in.

make an oatmeal paste with cool water and apply. As it begins to dry take a lukewarm bath and let the oatmeal soak off. When towelling off pat dry, do not rub. apply banana boat aloe gel with lidocaine.

I have always soaked in a warm bath with almost a whole bottle of apple cider vinegar. It may stink a little but it does the job and takes the redness away. You should try it.
