Third Disney Theme Park?

The third park in Disneyland Resort California are just rumors.

Disney doesn't even have enough land for such expansion.

There is no "date" getting pushed back becuase there are no offical plans to build another aprk. No such thing.

The Oriental Land Company, who owns and operates Tokyo Disney Resort has only considered thinking of building somewhere else in Japan as they own land in several other parts.

Hong Kong is getting a second gate directly across from Hong Kong Disneyland; the theme is unknown.

And No, Disney isn't building in Missouri.

People in rural Newton County will have to forget, at least for now, the prospect of selling their land for big bucks to the Walt Disney Co.

After rumors flew last week that Disney was planning to build a $1.1 billion theme park in the area, Presiding Commissioner Jerry Carter got the word Monday that, as he put it, it's "shenanigans."

"I just talked to the vice president of public affairs for Disney, and she said there's nothing to it," Carter said.

Carter said Disney officials didn't recognize the names of any of the three owners of ARM Risk, the company supposedly working to assemble the 1,000 acres of land.

"(Disney) can say absolutely that they're not involved in Newton County or in southwest Missouri," Carter said.

Despite rumors, there's never been any sign of Disney interest in the Branson area, he said.

No, I've not heard of that at all. And I'm a Disney Fanatic and read up on all their future projects. As far as I know, there's to be a third park opening at Disneyland in California, as the person above mentioned. I read it's supposed to be kind of like the Disney Sea park over at Tokyo Disneyland. It's not set to open until sometime after 2010, though. The date keeps getting pushed back. Also, I read a new park is to be built at either Tokyo Disneyland or Hong Kong Disneyland - I forget which. And at Disney's Animal Kingdom Park at Walt Disney World in Florida they're supposed to build a new "land" that has to do with mythological creatures.

Others have been asking this same question, though. Apparently, there have been many rumors of the possibility of a Disney Park being built in Missouri.

Apparently, there's a dummy corporation trying to buy up land in the area. A person supposedly connected to this corporation called the Attorney General's office, claiming to represent the Walt Disney Company. This is being investigated now. It could just as easily be another big company blaming the land buy-out on Disney--or saying that so people will sell to them.

From a cast member's perspective, we haven't heard anything about a new park in Missouri.

However, anything can happen. You really never know with this company.

The idea of a Disney park in Missouri was a rumor fueled by the Associated Press and the Kansas City Channel.
