    We don't have pubs where I live. The county I live in is "dry". But, if I'm looking for a good time at a pub I drive into the city and go to Fox and Hound pub.

    Texans do not have pubs. They have a lot of other names for them like the Country Tavern, which serves the best BBQ in the state. It is located deep in the East Texas Oil Fields that made TX rich.

    There used to be a pub in Stevenage called 'Edward the Confessor', local lads called it 'Ted the Grass'

    My favourite though is in the midlands The Whippet Inn, and, they sell their own cider!

    It's not really weird, but it was somewhat ironic to me. I saw a pub the other day in a black area, and the name of the pub was BlackBirds.
