Jews, Muslims, Christians--same God ?
I know this question has been asked plenty of times before but I wanted to know the reason why Christians differentiate between the Muslim God and Christian God while relating with the Jewish God. The argument given sometimes is that because muslims do not believe in trinity and do not accept Jesus as son of God they do not share the same God. But what about the Jews.....they dont believe in Jesus as messiah either and they dont believe in trinity........so why are they treated differently? I'm just curious to know so please attack or disrespect anyone. Thank you
Just a friend-- I know thats what you believe. But I wanted to know why
I'm not saying there are 3 different Gods I was only talking about the concepts of God in the 3 different religions.
please stop the moon god story. It is false. The God muslims believe in is the creator and ruler of the entire universe. http://www.islamic-awareness.org/Quran/Sources/All...

Same God. Muslims know that; they believe that "people of the book" (Muslims, Christians, Jews) all believe in the same God, even if the prophets are different. Christians generally recognize that Jews believe in the same God as them, except that they don't believe Jesus to be His son. Christians and Jews typically don't accept Islam because it came afterward and is, by all appearances, less connected (meaning, the Tanakh and the New Testament are connected, but the Qur'an is a separate text).
Personally, I recognize that they all believe in the same God that I believe in.

Jews, Muslims and Christians all share the same God. The God of Abraham, the God of Moses, the God of the Old Testament. But that's where the similarity ends.
For the Jew, God has chosen him to remain true to the traditions of the Torah.
For the Christian, God is revealed in Jesus Christ, the second person of the Trinity, our redeemer and savior.
For the Muslim, all others have been deceived, and only they submit to the truths revealed by their prophet.
So for all, it is the same God. The difference being on how God has been revealed, and the authority of that revelation.

Yes, the Christian God and the Jewish God is the same God that we worship. Our name for him is Allah (swt). We believe in all the prophets in the Old Testaments and we revere and respect Jesus (pbuh) as a great prophet. In our religion, the last profit on earth is the prophet Muhammed (pbuh), who in a dream met with Jesus, Moses, and Abraham (pbuthem). So, we acknowledge them all. It is only our beliefs that make us different, but also so very similar.
Many blessings to you, and I hope you find the answer you were looking for.

There is only one God. Whether we say God, or Jehova, or Allah. There is only one God. All three of these religions profess there is only one God.
Part of it is a matter of language I think. Another part is that Christ was a Jew, and he clearly stated that he loved Jewish people, and that he came first for the Jews, and second for us Gentiles. There was no Islam at the time.
Of course the declaration of Jihad upon us by Al Qaeda, and the destruction of the WTC might not have been a universally appreciated Public Relations move, and it might contribute just a teeny, weeny bit to the alleged different treatment claimed to be experienced by Muslims. The Seven Days War where all the Arabs ganged up on Israel, and then could not accept losing land when they got defeated - not the brightest move. I mean, religion aside, people do have a right to defend themselves.

I'm a Christian and believe in Jesus, who is the only link between God and man. But, I dont see the Muslim or the Jews as an enemy, but as fellow human beings.
Why are they treated differently?
Its the sinful human nature, of which Jesus died to redeem us from.
But, some people feel that they or there race is better than others. When in reality we all have the same color of blood.
I grew up in the deep south associated with the KKK, and I hated everyone. It didnt matter if they were Black Brothers, Jewish Brothers, Muslim Brothers.etc.
However, when the Holy Spirit of God took up resident in my heart by the Blood of Jesus. All That Changed. No matter on how they may see me!

All of us Muslims,Christians, and Jews believes in one God ,the creator.
But the only difference is Christians believe in Jesus and they believe he is the son of God, Jews believe in prophet Abraham but us Muslims, we believe in Mohamed while we believe in Jesus and Abraham too, and we believe they are all prophets and God have no son.
Us Muslims believe in Jesus and Abraham and we believe in Mohamed and we follow Mohamed and Islam cause its the true religion of peace, love and confidence and its the religion that God want all of us to follow, however Islam tels us about all the other Prophets and other religions, about the history and all different things and that's why we believe our religion is the true religion.

I can only speak for myself. Muslims and Christians worship the God of Abraham, which they beleive to be the one and true God. Jews and fundamentalists worship a purely tribal/ethnic version of the same, not a God for all humanity. It's a different concept. Also,Muslims and Christians may assign a different stature to Christ, but they both consider Him to be divinely inspired to the max. Jews deplore His teachings, consider Him a charlaton (and the prophet),while fundies claim to embrace Christ's teachings and the Jewish law at one and the same time, which is impossible. I consider Christianity and Islam to be dualistic religions. The Jewish and Fundamentalist faiths are like a one-fertile plain long turned to desert. And how appropriate Jews should go back to the desert to await their extinction, and that fundamentalists should applaud and yearn for the day, since they think they will all be ushered into Heaven when the fake New Jerusalem goes up in smoke.

First there was Judaism. They worshiped the God of Abraham.
Jesus was born and many believed that he was the son of God. They started Christianity.
The Jews did not believe Jesus to be the son of God and remained Jews.
Muslims teach that Jesus was a prophet, not the son of God, and that another prophet, Mohamed, was sent to Earth after Jesus. Mohamed is not God to them either, so they still believe in the God of Abraham.
Christans combined Jesus with the God of Abraham and the Holy Spirit to make their trinity God.

Perhaps the article "Abraham" by David Van Biema in the September 30, 2002 issue of Time Magazine may shed some light on this subject.

Historically speaking here is the correct answer. The Jews and the Christians believe in the same God named Jehovah or Yehwey (YHWH to the Jews). To the Jews the Messiah is a conquering King of the earth that is gonna take over the world by force and bring freedom and power to Israel. Jesus preached a message of forgiveness, love and redemption of sins. This is not how the Jews pictured their Messiah to be. That is just one of the reasons the Jews reject Jesus. Allah was the pagan god of Muhammed's arab tribe before he founded Islam. Muhammed cleverly linked Abraham of the Bible to his religion and proclaimed Allah to be the name of God (only Muslims claim this).
