When ever I try to go on big sites such as downoad.com I all ways keep getting redirected same thi with Youtbe if this is a virus is there anyway I canstop it before it gets worse by the way there are more sites it redrects to. It just started today so will it help if I go onto system restore because I have no time to reinstall the OS. By the way its SP2 if that helps

Edit to add that normal anti-spyware tools are not good at all at detecting SpySherrif (it is part of the 'SmitFraud' family) Hence why there is a standalone tool created by someone, called SmitFraudFix.
You also didn't have to install it, it will install itself through various things. Active X is the easiest way it has to install it.

Remove spy ware sheriff and download a good anti virus applications such as Avast.com (free) do a boot time scan when it asks you...Download also ad aware which is better and more effective ...
