Is Gerrard wasting his career at Liverpool?
Why is Steven Gerrard in a low profile club like Loserspool whose luck has finally ended? When he had an oppurtunity to join the Chavs (Chelsea) why the guy wasted it?
sonfai - What have Liverpool achieved during the last 10 years compared to the Chavs.
Roma-fan - Hmm and Lampard hes not good as Gerrard according to many people but the boy has achieved Premier League x 2 Carling Cup x 2 .. 3 UEFA Champions League Semi Finals ... an FA Cup Final at Wembley ... FIFA runner up player of the year and european too ... and a community shield and uefa intero cup with West Haaam.

Liverfool definately is helping ruin careers. Gerrard would be smart to get out of there.

He has won the League Cup, FA Cup, Charity Shield, Champions League, European Super Cup, UEFA Cup and a runner up at the World Club Championship. Only premiership has eluded him so far. The Americans has just arrived. He will win the premiership.
Chelsea has not won the Champions League, UEFA Cup, European Super Cup and never been to the World Club Championship. They only have the Premiership and the 2nd rate FA Cup and 3rd rate League Cup to show. I wonder what is so great about Chelsea??? And there is nothing like playing at Anfield where the fans appreciate you.
Shevchenko old man, Ballack old man, Makelele grandfather, and there are no kids coming thru the ranks. I wonder what will happen to Chelsea when Mourinho or Abramovich leaves the club. U only have Terry as a home product.
Liverpool Youth has beaten Man Utd youth in the FA Cup final this year. Arsenal's youth's are already playing in the premiership. Where are Chelsea's youth???? Wanking themselves????
And Chelsea is already struggling this year to retain the premiership.

I'm a Man Utd fan but really, Chelsea are a team like Middlesbrough who struck lucky. He's at the right club with history and tradition who win trophies through good management and not cos they're a billionaire's current toy.
To the reply - they've won the champions league. Unlike sommme

I don't think he wants to move to Chelsea. He had the opportunity to move in 2004 and 2005 but it didn't happen. In summer 2006, Gerrard quashed transfer rumours, publicly stating, "I'm not going to get involved in all that kind of speculation again; I'm settled and happy at Liverpool, and I'm not going to go through another summer like the last two. I'll be staying here until the day someone tells me they don't want me."
Didn't he win the 2006 PFA Player of the Year, 2005 CL MVP, and 2001 PFA Young Player awards? Isn't he the captain of one of the top 4 clubs in EPL? I would not call that "wasting his career".

I think Gerrard is one of the few rare breed of old faithfuls who are would stick with his boyhood club for life, like Maldini in Milan, who has been playing for 22 years in Milan. And i would have some respect for a club who has won the Champions League 5 times, in 77,78,81,84 and 05

No, not at all. With the exception of the Prem, Gerrard has won everything at LIverpool, and in fact more than he would had, had he been at Chelsea in this same period.
Also he is cementing himself as a legend at the biggest club in the country and his home club, surely that counts for something!

whilst he grew to become down Chelsea in 2004 and then lower back in 2005, he knew he became possibly throwing away the prospect to win the league identify, yet he did no longer decide for to win the league identify with every person different than Liverpool. If he had long previous to Chelsea in 2004, i do no longer care what each physique says, by using fact i know the final issue Liverpool could have won could have been the 2003 Worthington Cup, now of direction generic by using fact the Carling Cup. He threw away the prospect to win the league with Chelsea and have been given the Champions League with Liverpool in return. In his ideas if he had long previous after the CL win, he could have had a league identify to function to extraordinarily lots each thing a participant can win at club point, yet he could have continually generic he had obtained it with Chelsea and not with Liverpool and could have continually felt it the ordinary one out and in no way somewhat welcomed it. whilst Owen went to actual Madrid in 2004, he stated he wanted to win the Champions League, in basic terms that particular same season for Liverpool to pass and win it.

Well so much of a waste if you consider 2 domestic cup winners and a CL one to boot.
If you consider that a waste, think how good ol' Mike Owen is doing up north in Newcastle.

I respect him for staying at merseyside. And under new ownership coming in you might see some amazing things come out of it. At least they own what they bought and not financed it like Glazer.
Gerard has matured a lot. But he is getting older and I think he should stay in Liverpool. Give it time and you might see the scousers win the Prem.

In a way yes, a player of his quality shaould have won a lot more and this has to do with the players, coaches, etc around you but I wouldn't advise him to gamble with a club like Chelsea. They are quite unstable and want to accomplish in one season what it took other clubs decades to attain.

i've never been a gerrard fan but i'll admit - he's a good midfielder - not fantastic but good......
he is doing and has always done well with liverpool who are by the way a much better team than chel$ki - good for him for turning down the chel$ki scum.....
the more ppl who avoid the russian mafia the better for them - think that their money can just make players run there........stinking cheats......
