Replacing motorcycle clutch lever?
I have a 1983 Yamaha Virago. I recently dropped it. The battery was dead and I was pushing it on gravel and the bike slipped.
Anyway, the clutch lever broke off. I ordered a new clutch lever. I understand how to unscrew and remove the clutch from the bike however, I don't know how to remove the clutch cable from the old lever.
Any websites or advice is appreciated, so that I can put on the new clutch.

Look at the bottom of the lever and you'll see a slot that the cable will slide out of once the ball end of the cable is turned.

Loosen the cable enough to be able to turn the pin on the end in the hole in the lever. Line up the cable with the slot, and pop the pin out. Installation is the reverse.
It's just like a bicycle cable/lever, only bigger.

The kill swap could be shorted or you have accidently shrink the wires to the start button. start up by potential of disconnecting the kill swap and notice if it starts off. If no longer then reconnect the kill swap and attempt shorting out the start button.

follow the cable down, you should find a place where you can adjust the cable, loosen it.
