8th grade math?
Okay 8th grade math. On Graphing inequalities. On a test today there was this question I wasnt sure of.The question said that this guy jeff was having a party with a budget of $120. He was going to invite 25 people. He thought that everyone would have 2 sodas (each soda was $0.75) and 1/2 a pizza (each full pizza was $6) On his estimate would he be over his budget? You had to make a inequality. I got 0.75x + 6y <(or equal to)120$. Then I solved it. Can you guys solve it? I want to know if I did it wrong. Thanks

the answer is no. he didnt go over his budget.
on soda he spent $37.50
because each soda is 0.70 times 2 is 1.50 times 25 people is $37.50
and on pizza he spent $75.00
because if each pizza is $6.00 and every one will eat a half then it would be $3.00 per person. and 3 times 25 is $75.00 so with the pizza and soda together would be $75.00 + $37.50 witch = $112.50
so ya i think you got it wrong!
good luck!

invite 25 people so 26 total (including him)? or 25 total So drinks are each $.75 and each person has 2. so total cost there is 2X26X.75=39
pizza total cost is 26X1/2X6=78
total cost= 117<120
I'm not sure if thats how you wanted to solve it, but thats what i would do.
