Which Xbox 360 system can I play Halo 3 ONLINE on?

well i was wondering this when i was about to buy my xbox and i found that any xbox has XBOX LIVE capability however the pro comes with an eithernet cable for internet and the core does not but u can still buy one, if it was up to me i would get the pro it comes with a hardrive and mic as well btw u can also buy a wireless adapter($100) if your router isnt near your xbox

You can play Halo 3 online with either the premium or the core just as long as you have a gold membership. If you don't have a gold membership, then you can't play online.

If I were you, I would buy the premium, even if it does cost 100 bucks more, but you're getting 20 gb, a wireless controller, and a composite-component cable for 100 bucks. A 64 mb costs about 35 bucks. Do the math, and you'll see that the premium is the better deal. If you want to go all out, get the Elite. It's 80 bucks more than the premium but you get a 120 gb and 1.2 HDMI output if you have a HD TV.

Just don't get the core. It's a joke.

I have had both and I enjoy the ps3 online more. For the following reasons: It's free There is always updates and add on content for free. Home is up and running which is smooth and fun. There is less wait to join most online events. It's more attractve looking(always thought the 360 menues looked fisher price) No red rings!! And with the new trophies system(like achievements) there is nothing 360 does that ps3 doesn't. However there are plenty of things that ps3 does easily that 360 cannot do. And I just figured out how to watch movies that are stored on my mac on my HDTV through the ps3 with absolutely no wires no lag and no memmory hard drive space used.

You need to get the pro as it comes with a subscription trial and the headset and the harddrive. You could buy the core set then buy everything else seperately, but the Pro system is cheaper.

Don't waste money on the core. Just buy the pro and you'll have everything you need. Buying the needed items separately will end up costing you more in the long run.
