How much should I charge to take a senior to a wedding?
The wedding is 35 miles away. We will be using my car. The senior requires a lot of personal care. The job will be about 5 or 6 hours.

Since you didn't clarify, I'm responding to your question based on the following assumptions...
1. You already work as a "care giver" or "nurses aid" or are a volunteer at some sort of senior support organization.
2. You are not invited (as a guest) to the wedding and do not personally know the bride or groom.
3. You already know and have worked with/for the senior you will be escorting.
Based on these assumptions, I would charge/quote the senior a price that states your normal hourly wage "plus expenses". These expenses would, as a rule, be costs for transportation (gas plus "x" $ per mile) and food costs, if applicable. One little exception would be if the wedding is taking place during the weekend, it would not be beyond reason to charge "overtime" of 1/2 or double your standard hourly wages.
